The Central Government on Wednesday notified the appointment of nine additional judges of the Allahabad High Court as permanent judges..Union Minister of State (I/C) for Law and Justice Arjun Ram Meghwal informed of the development through a post on X (formerly Twitter). .The nine judges of the High Court who have been made permanent are:Justice Syed Qamar Hasan RizviJustice Manish Kumar NigamJustice Anish Kumar GuptaJustice Nand Prabha Shukla Justice Kshitij ShailendraJustice Vinod DiwakarJustice Prashant Kumar Justice Manjive ShuklaJustice Arun Kumar Singh Deshwal.The Supreme Court Collegium had recommended that these nine judges be made permanent on August 13.The High Court Collegium had made the recommendation on May 28 and the Chief Minister and the Governor of Uttar Pradesh also concurred with the recommendation.Judges of the Supreme Court conversant with the affairs of the High Court were then consulted. They agreed that all the recommended judges were fit and suitable for confirmation as permanent judges.The Collegium proceeded to recommend their appointment as permanent judges of the High Court, after examining all material on record.
