Mumbai court summons West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee on complaint by BJP leader alleging disrespect to national anthem
In the complaint, BJP leader Vivekanand Gupta alleged that by abruptly stopping while singing the national anthem, Banerjee had committed an offence punishable under Prevention of Insults to National Honour Act.
A Mumbai court on Tuesday summoned West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in a criminal complaint filed by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Mumbai Secretary Vivekanand Gupta alleging Banerjee disrespected the national anthem.
