Mergermarket 2017: SAM tops deal value tables, AZB with most deals

Mergermarket has released its M&A league tables for the first half of 2017. Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas has topped the deal value table, with 16 deals valued at $16.7 billion. AZB & Partners has recorded the highest number of deals (32) for H1 2017..The $12.7 billion Idea-Vodafone merger, which took place back in March, remains the highest value deal in the Asia-Pacific region thus far this year. That deal has helped a couple of Indian firms feature at the top of the league tables..Deal Value.One of the firms involved in that deal, AZB, is in a close second place in the deal value tables, with 32 deals at $16.6 billion.
