Madras High Court transfers to itself 45-year-old suit that 'could have been decided in 20-30 hours'

Justice D Bharatha Chakravarthy noted that the legal questions involved in the suit could have been decided in 20 to 30 hours but the matter had remained pending before the civil court since 1979.
