Madras High Court refuses to quash FIR against BJP’s Kesava Vinayagan but orders Police not to "disturb" him

The Court said that it cannot permit a roving inquiry under the guise of investigation and ordered that the CBCID can issue summons to Vinayagan in the future only after seeking the Court’s permission.

The Madras High Court recently refused to quash the First Information Report (FIR) Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Organising Secretary Kesava Vinayagan in connection with a case pertaining to the seizure of ₹3.99 crore from a train in April this year before the Lok Sabha elections.
