Madras High Court upholds order restraining OPS from using AIADMK flag, symbol

Justices R Mahadevan and Mohammed Shaffiq dismissed OPS’ appeal after noting that there existed no grounds for interfering with the single judge’s November 2023 order which had passed an interim injunction against OPS.

The Madras High Court on Thursday dismissed an appeal filed by expelled All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) leader O Panneerselvam (OPS) challenging a single judge’s order restraining him from claiming to be the coordinator or a primary member of the AIADMK party, and from using the party’s official letterhead, its symbol and flag.
