The Central Government has cleared the appointment of an Advocate, Madhav Jamdar as an additional judge of the Bombay High Court for a two year term.
A notification to this effect was issued on Thursday.
In exercise of the power conferred by clause (I) of Article 224 of the Constitution of India, the President is pleased to appoint Shri Madhav Jayajirao Jamdar, to be an Additional Judge of the Bombay High Court, for a period of two years with effect from the date he assumes charge of his office.

The appointment has been made pursuant to a recommendation made by the Supreme Court Collegium in March last year.
Along with Jamdar, the Collegium had recommended four other advocates as High Court judges, The other four names had been approved by the Central Government in August last year.
