“I am convinced you have lost your mind”,Jethmalani writes to Karnan J[Read Letter]

Senior Advocate Ram Jethmalani has written a scathing letter to the Calcutta High Court’s Justice CS Karnan, advising him to take back every word he has said and pray for pardon..“As a senior member of the Bar and living in the departure lounge of God’s airport I am advising you to withdraw every word that you have uttered and humbly pray for pardon for every stupid action you have so far indulged in.”.Jethmalani calls Justice Karnan’s behaviour that of a lunatic and says that “some day that may be the only defence available to you”..He further goes on to say,.“If you do not know the enormity of your madness do meet me and I might put some sense in your head.”.On Friday, a seven-judge Bench headed by Chief Justice of India, JS Khehar and comprising Justices Dipak Misra, J Chelameswar, Ranjan Gogoi, Madan B Lokur, Pinaki Chandra Ghose, Kurian Joseph issued a bailable warrant against Justice Karnan for failing to appear in the contempt case against him..However, a headstrong CS Karnan J continued his crusade against the members of the higher judiciary and stated that he has passed an order asking the President of India to stay the proceedings against him..He even went a step further.
