Union Law Minister Kiren Rijiju on Saturday highlighted the need to implement local languages in courts, and called for legal education to be administered in the vernacular..Speaking at the Constitution Day event at the Supreme Court, Rijiju said,"Prime Minister Narendra Modi has highlighted the need to implement local languages in courts so that the common man feels connected. Under the aegis of the Law Ministry, the Bar Council of India has set up a Bharatiya Bhasha Committee headed by former Chief Justice of India SA Bobde. We have already made a glossary of 65,000 words. We will use AI and technology to digitise them, and make it available for all.
