Wife cannot sit idle and seek entire maintenance from estranged husband; can get only supportive maintenance: Karnataka High Court

A wife, who was employed earlier, cannot sit idle and seek entire maintenance from her estranged husband but should make some efforts to meet her livelihood, the Karnataka High Court recently said while rejecting a plea by a woman challenging reduction in the maintenance and compensation amount granted to her by a Magistrate court.
