Tweets against Uddhav Thackeray: Bombay HC hears Sameet Thakkar's prayer to quash FIR for his 'abusive tweets' [LIVE UPDATES]

The Bombay High Court is hearing a plea moved by Twitter celebrity Sameet Thakkar seeking directions to quash and set aside an FIR filed against him for allegedly tweeting abusive content on his personal Twitter handle against the present Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Uddhav Thackeray.

During the last hearing on Thursday, the Bench orally accepted the statement of the APP that the concerned police station in Mumbai would not take coercive steps against Sameet, as long as he continues to co-operate with the investigation.
