[BREAKING] Supreme Court to restart limited physical hearings from September 1

The Supreme Court will resume physical hearing of cases in a limited manner from September 1.

According to sources, the top court will employ a hybrid method with Monday and Fridays, which are miscellaneous days, having only virtual hearings.

The Supreme Court has been hearing matters virtually since March 2020 after the COVID pandemic hit the country.

It was slated to commence limited physical hearing in March this year when the second wave of COVID struck, forcing the apex court to continue with virtual hearings.

Many High Courts have already commenced physical hearing in the last few weeks after the COVID situation improved.
