Supreme Court stays NCDRC order which held Yash Raj Films liable for omitting promo song "jabra" from SRK starrer 'Fan'

The consumer Afreen Fatima Zaidi had complained that she was cheated on account of the fact that the song 'Jabra Fan', which was shown in the promos of the film 'Fan', was not part of the film played in movie theatre.

The Supreme Court on Monday issued notice on an appeal filed by Yash Raj Films challenging a National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (NCDRC) order directing the production house to pay Rs 10,000 as compensation to a consumer aggrieved by exclusion of the song 'Jabra Fan', from Shah Rukh Khan-starrer movie, 'Fan'.
