Supreme Court seeks Centre's response in challenge to 27% OBC, 10% EWS quota in AIQ medical seats

The petitioners before the court are NEET aspirants in postgraduate and undergraduate courses from the unreserved category.

The Supreme Court on Friday issued notice to the Central government on four petitions challenging 27 percent reservation for Other Backward Classes (OBC) and 10 percent reservation for Economically Weaker Section (EWS) in All India Quota (AIQ) seats in State government medical institutions (Neil Aurelio Nunes v. Union of India).
