If true, it's a serious matter: Supreme Court on plea for CBI probe into alleged duty evasion by 61 companies "smuggling" iron ore to China

"This a serious issue and if it's, true then it's a serious matter which we need to look into. Is there any truth to it?" CJI Ramana observed.

The Supreme Court on Thursday sought the Central government's response in a petition alleging duty evasion on the part of 61 companies while purportedly "smuggling" iron ore to China since 2015.
