The Supreme Court on Monday initiated contempt of court proceedings against one Upendra Nath Dalai (petitioner) who failed to deposit costs of ₹1 lakh that was imposed on him for filing a public interest litigation (PIL) petition to declare Satsang founder Sree Sree Thakur Anukulchandra a parmatma.
