Supreme Court cases will first be placed before Attorney General to decide whether his appearance necessary: Law Ministry

After the AG’s consideration, the list would be placed before the Solicitor General of lndia, who will then decide which law officer including himself will appear in each of the cases.

As per an office memorandum issued by the Ministry of Law & Justice, all cases relating to the Central government listed before the Supreme Court will first be placed before the Attorney General (AG) for lndia for him to consider which matters call for his appearance.
