Supreme Court allows DAIT-Adani Power consortium to operate Coastal Energen plant for now

The NCLAT had last week halted the recent takeover of the Coastal Energen plant by a consortium led by DAIT and Adani Power, and directed that a resolution professional run the plant.

The Supreme Court has allowed a consortium led by Dickey Alternative Investment Trust (DAIT) and Adani Power to operate a power plant of the bankrupt Coastal Energen until the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) passes a final order in the matter [Dickey Alternative Investment Trust and anr v. Ahmed Buhari and ors].
