Shakereh Khaleeli murder: Supreme Court refuses to entertain Swami Shraddhanand plea for parole

A bench of Justices KM Joseph, BV Nagarathna and Ahsanuddin Amanullah allowed the petitioner to withdraw the plea with liberty to move the appropriate forum for remedies, if any.

The Supreme Court on Wednesday refused to entertain an application for parole by 82-year-old murder-convict Murali Manohar Mishra aka Swami Shraddhanand sentenced to life for the murder of his wife Shakereh Khaleeli, who was the granddaughter of the former Diwan of Mysore [Swamy Sharaddananda @ Murali Manohar vs State of Karnataka].
