A Justice AM Khanwilkar led bench is hearing journalist Amish Devgan's petition to quash the FIRs against him, lodged on account of allegedly derogatory words used to describe Sufi Saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti.
The Court had earlier issued an interim stay on the investigations relating to all the FIRs.
Senior Advocate Siddharth Luthra had contended yesterday that sections in the FIR against him are not attracted as it was only a "slip of tongue." Centre too had stated that case should not be stretched as the journalist has already apologized, Luthra added.
Senior Advocate Luthra is expected to wrap up his submissions today. Intervenors will put forward their arguments as well today.
