[Breaking] Sandalwood Drug Scandal: Special Court denies bail to Ragini Dwivedi and Sanjjanaa Galrani

A Special NDPS Court today refused to grant bail to Kannada actresses Ragini Dwivedi and Sanjjanaa Galrani in connection with the Sandalwood drug case..As of now, both the actress will continue to remain in judicial custody. .The 33rd Sessions Court had reserved the bail orders on Friday. .Sandalwood Drug Scandal: Special Court to pass order in Ragini Dwivedi, Sanjjanaa Galrani bail pleas on Monday; ED gets 5-day custody .Both actresses were reportedly taken into custody based on a suo motu case registered by at the Cottonpet police station for allegedly consuming and supplying banned narcotic substances at parties and events that they used to organise.They were booked under the provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 (NDPS Act), and the Indian Penal Code..The complaint against Galrani was that she had formed a team in order to procure various narcotics from various states and foreign countries. It was alleged that Galrani and her team would sell the narcotic substances at various farm houses, 5 star hotels, clubs, pubs etc..The bail plea filed on behalf of Galrani strongly contended that the name of the present accused was not found in the First Information Report (FIR).
