[COVID-19 Crisis] Rs 5,000 disbursed to 204 Advocate clerk applicants by Committee headed by DLN Rao: AAB informs Karnataka HC

The Advocates Association, Bengaluru (AAB) today informed the Karnataka High Court that after receiving 204 applications from members of the Karnataka State Level Clerks Association, Rs 5,000 each was disbursed to all such applicants by the committee headed by Senior Counsel DLN Rao.

Though the amounts were disbursed on June 29, it may take a few days for the Advocate clerks to actually receive the amounts, said Advocate Anil Kumar appearing for AAB.

The Court was informed about these developments while hearing a plea seeking financial assistance to Advocate clerks amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
