Lawyers may also become victims of incidents like these.".Appearing for the petitioner, Advocate Robin Raju said that his client was mentally jolted after witnessing videos and photos of the Rohini Court firing that were being circulated on social media..Advocate Ajayinder Sangwan, appearing for the Bar Council of Delhi, apprised the Court that pursuant to a meeting with the police, it was agreed that the security at the capital's district courts would be upgraded to be on par with that at the Supreme Court..After hearing the parties, the Court granted one week for filing of a status report, and listed the matter for October 11..The petition filed by Advocate Deepa Joseph made a number of suggestions to improve the security at Delhi's district courts, including installation of biometric punching devices outside the entrance gates of all the courts. Also prayed for was a direction to instruct all police personnel at court entrances to ensure that they check the ID cards of each and every lawyer who enters the court premises..“The petitioner as someone who visits the district courts in Delhi has also seen how the Police personnel present at the court entrances more often than not step back from frisking a person who is in a lawyer's attire.
