Right to be forgotten: Delhi High Court issues notice to Google, Twitter in plea by man convicted by UK Court

The petitioner argued that even though there is no law in India recognising the right to be forgotten after undergoing a sentence, the fundamental right to privacy is broad enough to cover this right.

The Delhi High Court on Thursday issued notice to the Central government, Google, Twitter and two media houses in a petition filed by a man seeking removal of articles from the internet regarding his conviction by the Leicester Crown Court on charges of fraud and blackmail.
