Justice Arvind Singh Sangwan of the Punjab & Haryana High Court today expressed his displeasure at two counsel arguing simultaneously and not allowing him to get in a word during a hearing..A miffed Justice Sangwan adjourned the matter without hearing it further..The Court was hearing a matter regarding grant of anticipatory bail to an accused when one of the counsel brought on record a judgment of the Supreme Court that he claimed fit squarely within the facts of the case.In retaliation, the opposing counsel argued that the 2003 judgement being cited was with relation to regular bail and was in fact not applicable to the matter being heard..Justice Sangwan attempted to speak while the lawyers continued to argue. Reaching the end of his patience he said, “Both the counsels arguing simultaneously, matter cannot be heard. Adjourned..The two advocates immediately attempted to rectify the situation, to no avail.
