Pune Porsche accident case: Father and grandfather of teen who killed two sent to 14 days' judicial custody

The father and the grandfather of the 17-year-old boy who recently killed two people while driving a Porsche car were sent to a 14 days of judicial custody by a Pune court..According to TOI, prior to sending them to judicial custody on Friday, the court on Tuesday had extended their police custody till May 31.The duo were taken into custody for allegedly confining their family driver against his will and luring him with money and gifts in order to make him take responsibility of the accident that occurred on May 19.A fresh case has been registered against both the father and the grandfather of the accused minor under Sections 365 (kidnapping with intent secretly and wrongfully to confine a person) and 368 (wrongfully concealing or keeping in confinement) of the Indian Penal Code, 1860..The police had earlier arrested the juvenile, his father, the minor's grandfather and those associated with the pub where the minor was allegedly served alcohol before the accident.Though the minor himself had been released by a Juvenile Justice Board (JJB) under parental monitoring soon after the accident, his bail was subsequently cancelled and he was sent to an observation home.The minor has been booked under Section 304 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) and other provisions of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). His father was charged for offences under Section 75 (wilful neglect of a child, or exposing a child to mental or physical illnesses) and Section 77 (supplying a child with intoxicating liquor or drugs) of the Juvenile Justice Act, 2015.The police had also arrested two doctors and a peon for allegedly manipulating the blood sample report of the minor, who was apparently drunk when he hit the bike on which the two victims were travelling..Doctors' arrest to evidence tampering: Pune Porsche accident case so far.The police have also made an arrest of the Cosie hotel's owner Naman Bhutada, bar counter manager Sachin Katkar and Blak club manager Sachin Sangle for serving alcohol to the juvenile.
