Stalling a public project because of objections raised on communal lines cannot be accepted and would set an unacceptable precedent, the Madras High Court observed last week while ordering the completion of a bridge along the Thattankulam Kanmai channel (M Muthupandi v. The District Collector, Madurai District and ors).
