Portable ultrasound machines will lead to increase in sex-determination, female foeticide: AAP government to Delhi High Court

A 70-year-old man has approached the Delhi High Court against the government's notification prohibiting the use of portable ultrasound machines outside registered premises.

The Delhi government has told the Delhi High Court that if ultrasound machines are allowed to be portable, it would lead to drastic increase in illegal sex determination and offences of illegal abortion and female foeticide would become a legal and social menace.
