PIL filed before Delhi High Court seeking guidelines to regulate search and seizure operations at advocates' premises

It is thus prayed that appropriate procedures ought to be designed to ensure that privileged materials are not improperly viewed, seized or retained during the course of the search.

A public interest litigation has been filed before the Delhi High Court for formulation of mandatory guidelines to be followed by police in effecting search and seizure operations at the premises of an advocate under the Code of Criminal Procedure (Nikhil Borwankar vs State & Ors).
