A petitioner, who filed a petition making "wild allegations" against a judicial officer, tendered his unconditional apology and also agreed to file an undertaking before the Delhi High Court that he will not file such frivolous litigation in future..A division bench of Chief Justice Satish Chandra Sharma and Justice Subramonium Prasad recorded the statement that the petitioner will file such undertaking in seven days and allowed the petitioner to withdraw the plea. .The Court was dealing with a plea filed by a man named Dinesh Kumar seeking a direction to the Registrar General of the High Court to decide his complaint dated December 29, 2022 filed against a judicial officer. The bench noted that the petitioner had also made some 'wild allegations' against the officer in the petition. .After considering the case, the bench noted that the petitioner had already challenged the order passed by the officer on the judicial side. The Court further noted that the complaint made by the petitioner had already been look into by a committee of three judges and his request to initiate suo motu proceedings against the officer had been declined. "Confronted with this, the petitioner has fairly stated before this Court that he is tendering an unqualified apology for filing the present petition as he has already challenged the order passed by the judicial officer on judicial side," the Court recorded.
