Chief Justice of India (CJI) NV Ramana on Saturday lamented the poor representation of women in the judiciary even after 75 years of India's independence. .He said that while women ought to have had 50 per cent representation by now, they remain woefully under-represented even in the Supreme Court, where only 11 per cent of judges are women."After 75 years of independence one would expect 50 percent of women representation at all levels but we have been able to achieve only 11 percent in the Supreme Court," the CJI said.
