"No urgency": Calcutta High Court denies urgent hearing in PILs against West Bengal ban on The Kerala Story

A bench led by Acting Chief Justice TS Sivagnanam said there were many other urgent matters before the Court and that PILs against ban on the film can be heard in due course.

The Calcutta High Court Wednesday refused to grant urgent hearing to two public interest litigation (PIL) petitions challenging the decision of the West Bengal government to ban the screening of the controversial film, The Kerala Story in the State.
