A Mumbai court will hear at 12.30 pm tomorrow, the bail application filed by Aryan Khan, son of Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan in the cruise ship drug case in which he along with seven others were arrested..Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate RM Nerlikar will hear the matter.Judge Nerlikar on Thursday rejected the plea by Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) seeking further police custody of Khan and the seven co-accused.They were remanded to judicial custody after which Khan's lawyers commenced arguments on bail application. The same could not be completed and the matter will now be heard tomorrow..On Monday, October 4, Aryan Khan and seven other were remanded to NCB custody till October 7, 2021 for their alleged involvement in the cruise ship drug case.Later on Tuesday, four additional accused were remanded to NCB custody till October 11, 2021.Following this, on Wednesday, four more accused were remanded to NCB custody till October 14, 2021 taking the total tally of arrests to 16.Two more persons, one Aachit Kumar and a foreign national allegedly involved in international trafficking, were also arrested.While the NCB on Thursday sought custody of Khan till October 11 on the ground that more persons might be arrested and they will have to be confronted with Khan and other accused who are already in custody, the Court turned down the same.It said that NCB had adequate opportunity to interrogate Khan and others and no further custodial interrogation is required.Remanding the accused to NCB custody without cogent reasons would be violation of liberty, the Court added while proceeding to remand the accused to judicial custody.Read full story on today's hearing here.Read a live account of the hearing as it happened in court here.
