Might be election gimmick: Calcutta High Court disposes of plea by BJP candidates seeking protection

The Calcutta High Court on Wednesday disposed of a plea filed by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidates seeking police protection in view of alleged threats to their lives ahead of the upcoming West Bengal municipal elections [Chandan Jana & Ors v. State of West Bengal].
