Mahua Moitra moves Supreme Court challenging ordinances allowing 5-year extension of tenure of CBI, ED Directors

Moitra in a tweet stated that she has challenged the ordinances on the ground that they are violative of earlier Supreme Court judgments governing the tenure of the chiefs of CBI and ED.

All India Trinamool Congress leader and Member of Parliament (MP) Mahua Moitra has moved Supreme Court challenging the recent ordinances promulgated by the President which enable the extension of tenure of Directors of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and Enforcement Directorate (ED) upto 5 years.
