The Madras High Court on Wednesday dismissed the plea moved by the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) challenging the validity of Section 60(c) of the Representation of People Act, 1951, which allows the Election Commission of India (ECI), in consultation with the government, to prescribe classes of voters who may vote through postal ballots (Dravida Munnetara Kazhagam v. Union of India and ors).
