Madras High Court directs State to facilitate sending mortal remains of Rajiv Gandhi case convict Santhan to Sri Lanka

Santhan, who had been litigating in Court to go back home to Sri Lanka following his release in 2022, died at the Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital in Chennai on February 28.

The Madras High Court on Thursday directed the Tamil Nadu government to make necessary arrangements to send the mortal remains of Santhan alias T Suthenthiraraja, one of the freed convicts in the Rajiv Gandhi assassination case, to his home country of Sri Lanka.
