Madras High Court expresses concern over new COVID-19 strains, says Government should be on guard

In view of reports that there are diverse new strains of COVID-19 propping up, including homegrown strains, the Madras High Court recently called on the Central government the States to be on guard and prepared to take immediate steps to safeguard the health of citizens (B Ramkumar Adityan v. Home Secretary and ors).
