Leader of Opposition, Ramesh Chennithala had filed a petition assailing the Government's purported decision to do away with the audit of Local Self-Government funds this year.

A PIL assailing the Kerala Government's purported decision to do away with the audit of Local Self-Government funds was disposed of on Tuesday by the Kerala High Court after recording the Government's explanation for the delay in conducting the audits this year.

The petition had been filed by Ramesh Chennithala, the Kerala Legislative Assembly's Leader of Opposition.
