Karnataka High Court upholds bail granted to HD Revanna in kidnapping case

The Karnataka High Court on Wednesday dismissed a plea filed by the special investigation team (SIT) seeking cancellation of bail granted to Janata Dal (Secular) leader HD Revanna, accused of abducting a woman. .Justice M Nagaprasanna passed the order upholding bail granted to Revanna on May 13..The Court also granted bail to six other accused in the case, subject to execution of bail bonds of ₹5 lakh each..Senior Advocate Ravivarma Kumar, appearing for the SIT, took the Court through the facts of the case and said that in a matter of such nature, bail should not have been granted.
