Gujarat Police tell Gujarat High Court public flogging of Muslim men was done to maintain peace

In an affidavit, Rajesh Kumar Gadhiya, Superintendent of Police, stated that the Muslim men, along with 159 members of their community, had conspired to disrupt a Garba event to create fear among the Hindu community.
