Former Allahabad High Court judge Justice Vimlesh Kumar Shukla no more

Senior Advocate and former Allahabad High Court judge Justice Vimlesh Kumar Shukla passed away on June 29, Saturday at the age of 69 years.

Justice Shukla enrolled as an advocate in 1981 with the Uttar Pradesh Bar Council. He then began his legal practice, focusing on civil and constitutional law at the Allahabad High Court.

He served as a judge of the Allahabad High Court from 2002 to 2017. In 2016, following the elevation of Justice DY Chandrachud to the Supreme Court, Justice Shukla was appointed as the Acting Chief Justice of the Allahabad High Court.
