The Karnataka High Court has issued notice in a plea challenging a state government order refusing to consider representations made by bar associations seeking financial help for lawyers amid the COVID-19 pandemic (Advocates Association, Bengaluru vs State of Karnataka).

In its order dated August 20, the state government had informed that bar associations may approach the Karnataka State Bar Council (KSBC) for financial help for their members.
