Delhi High Court stays Press Council of India direction effectively stopping govt advertisements in Hindustan newspaper

The Court also directed counsel for the Central government to seek instructions on whether any advertising has been stopped qua Hindustan or not.

The Delhi High Court on Tuesday stayed a censure direction passed by the Press Council of India (PCI) which had effectively stopped all government advertisements in certain editions of Hindi daily, Hindustan (Hindustan Media Ventures Ltd vs Press Council of India).
