Delhi High Court seeks response from CBI on plea by Om Prakash Chautala challenging conviction in disproportionate assets case

Chautala was convicted by a CBI court in May 2022 for amassing assets worth ₹6.09 crore which was much higher than his legitimate income between 1993 and 2006.

The Delhi High Court on Thursday issued notice to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on an appeal by former Haryana Chief Minister Om Prakash Chautala challenging his conviction and four-year jail term in a disproportionate assets case.
