The Delhi High Court on Monday ordered permanent suspension of 731 ‘rogue websites’ from illegally streaming Ajay Devgn starrer movie ‘Bhuj: The Pride of India’..The order was passed by Justice Prathiba M Singh on a suit filed by Star India for copyright infringement.The movie was released last year and is streaming currently on Over The Top (OTT) platforms. Star said that the film is related to the India-Pakistan war of 1971 and inspired from persons involved in the said war..The Court passed the permanent injunction order after the representatives of offending websites failed to appear before the court despite service of notice.“Insofar as the other Defendants who are Domain Name Registrars are concerned, they shall ensure that the impugned domain names are suspended, locked and status quo is maintained in respect of the same. The same shall not be permitted to be transferred to any third party. The orders of blocking shall also stand confirmed permanently in respect of all the impugned domain names / websites,” the Court ordered..Star had approached the Court last year when the movie was about to be released.
