Delhi High Court seeks response from Central, State govts in PIL seeking regular updates by hospitals to family members of COVID-19 patients

The petitioner claimed that people were "losing confidence, trust and faith" in government and private hospitals as no regular update or briefing on the actual status or condition of the patient are given.

The Delhi High Court on Thursday sought the response of the Central and State governments on a public interest litigation (PIL) petition praying that updates should be given by hospitals to family members or attendants of the patients admitted for treatment of COVID-19 (Manav Awaaj Trust vs UOI).
