Definition of cruelty does not include petty disputes which are part and parcel of married life: Calcutta High Court
The Court held that merely because the wife did not formally pray for restitution of conjugal rights, it could not be inferred that she had no intention of resuming conjugal life with her husband.
The Calcutta High Court on Wednesday observed that the term “cruelty” does not include petty disputes and differences which are part and parcel of married life (Chiranjib Bag v. Suchandra Bag).
