In view of the Coronavirus lockdown extension, the Karnataka High Court has extended the life of all interim orders passed by itself, as well as all other courts and tribunals in the state, till June 5, 2020. .A Division Bench of Chief Justice Abhay Shreeniwas Oka and Justice BV Nagarathna held that the directions issued on March 24, especially those dealing with interim orders, shall stand extended from May 3 to June 5. ."We direct that considering the prevailing situation, the period of one month mentioned in clause (i) to (iii) shall stand 24 extended till 05th June, 2020. Even the observations made in Clause (iv) will continue to operate."Karnataka High Court.The directions previously issued by the Court on the March 24 read as follows: .[Coronavirus Lockdown] Karnataka HC extends interim orders, demolition orders kept in abeyance after special sitting at CJ Oka's residence.i) All interim orders passed by the Karnataka High Court, all the District Courts, Civil Courts, Family Courts, Labour Courts, Industrial Tribunals and all other Tribunals in the State over which this Court has power of superintendence, which are due to expire within a period of one month from today, will continue to operate for a period of one month from today.
