The Apex Court in its judgment has said that an Insurance Company cannot be made liable in the event there was an expired licence held by the driver who was driving his employer's insured vehicle.
The Supreme Court on Wednesday held that liability for compensation cannot be fastened on an insurance company when the driver of a vehicle involved in an accident does not have a valid driving licence (Beli Ram v. Rajinder Kumar and anr).
